TAKE heart, Mike Bentley (Saturday Soundoff, April 22), not all older people are the same. We don't all have scooters and I, for one, would not dream of doing something as ungracious as

jumping the Post Office queue and pushing past you - I am far too timid.

Neither do I hold up the

supermarket checkout with a "ball of string and tin of cat food" - although I must confess Zak and Pearl are (shock horror) C-A-T-S. Both have turned up their noses at tinned food, preferring boxes of pouches and trays of cat food.

As for trying to sell Maundy money on eBay - what a showing-up. Mrs B sounds a gem!
