LAW firm Langleys has announced three new appointments at its York office, bringing its numbers there to 118.

Robert Ward has been appointed as a new assistant solicitor on the Langleys on the firm's criminal law team. Robert, who joins after a year as a trainee solicitor at Selby-based specialist criminal law firm MBM, will focus on prison law.

Following his graduation from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2001, he went on to complete a Master in Law at Leeds University, which he completed on 2002.

Langleys has also appointed two of its own graduates to the York office.

Sam Greatorex joins as a solicitor in the corporate commercial department, and Emma Cahill joins as a solicitor in the firm's insurance law department.

Sam joined Langleys in 2003 after graduating from the University of Birmingham. He went on to complete his LPC Distinction at the College of Law in York and has since been completing his training at Langleys.

Emma also joined Langleys in 2003 following her LPC Distinction at the College of Law in York.
