Trialist Nathan Joynes put in an eye-catching display as York City Reserves beat Sheffield United 'B' 3-0.
The 19-year-old Barnsley striker opened the scoring in the 50th minute, seconds after threading an inch-perfect ball through the defensive line for fellow trialist Paul Smith which was only kept out by an instinctive reaction save from United 'keeper Jamie Amerson.
Joynes then turned provider after winning possession near the 18-yard box, dribbling through three defenders then letting Tcham N'Toya nick the ball off his toe to drive it into the back of the net.
N'Toya's second and City's third goal came after freed Darlington midfielder Steve Thomas - also being watched by Billy McEwan - looped a fine ball over the top for N'Toya to execute another text-book finish.
Sheffield United's best chance came from a free-kick 25 yards out which crashed into the wall and was eventually cleared after a 30-second scramble.
