BEN Winstanley, the leading scorer in the Leeper Hare York and District Football League premier division, added another to his tally.

He was on target in the first minute as the students of York St John's won 3-0 at Bishopthorpe. The other goals came from Chris Walker and Richard Golding.

Bishopthorpe's slide down the table has coincided with their failure to score at home and this was their third blank return in four games.

Nestl Rowntree stretched their unbeaten run to four games with an impressive 4-2 win at Wigginton.

Darren Brandon marked his return to the Wigginton club by scoring both their goals but the visitors took the points with goals from Matty White, Steve Blake, Danny Leach and Matty Wain.

Huntington scored five goals for the third league game in succession against T& L Selby. On target this time were Iain Dunn, Chris Dyson, Matt Smythe and Jack Wilson.

Kartiers earned their third clean sheet on the bounce as they beat Malton Bacon Factory with James Tweedie scoring the only goal of the game.

Thorpe condemned hosts Haxby to their seventh game without a win by taking all the points with a 2-1 victory. Gavin Clamp and Lee Knight were on target for Thorpe while Haxby responded with a Scott Barley penalty.

A last-minute equaliser from Dunnington's Joe Foote earned his side a 2-2 draw at Pocklington. Grant Tolworthy put Dunnington ahead but goals from Pocklington's Callum Horne and Dave Abblett looked to be enough to claim all the points until the final minute.

Cawood's Andy Oldfield (2) celebrated his wedding anniversary by scoring for the fourth game on the trot as his side beat Stillington 3-0 in division three. Substitute Andy Green headed in Cawood's third within minutes of being brought on.

Bishop Wilton lost 7-3 at Osbaldwick despite been on equal terms at the break. Dave Burrows, Joe Robson and Adrian Staniforth scored for the visitors.

Huby demolished LNER Builders 5-0. Richard Jennison led the way with a hat-trick with Simon Wilson and Lee Goodwin completing the rout.

St Clements beat Strensall 3-2 with goals from Jordan Hornby (2) and Carl Young, Strensall replying through Matt Gomm and an own goal from Dave Franks.

Rawcliffe won the bottom-of-the-table clash as they thrashed Wheldrake 11-2, sharing their goals between Mike Rammage (4) Ricky Hunter and two each for Dave Stoner, Matt Fern and Gareth Reece.

Reserve 'A' leaders Dringhouses were made to work hard for their 2-1 win over Kartiers, Jamie Backhouse scoring both Dringhouses goals.

Chris Edberg (2) and a John Cahill free-kick gave St John's a useful lead at previously unbeaten Nestl Rowntree. Although Wayne Scaife twice reduced the deficit, Rich Holden added a fourth for the students. A Steve Fratson free-kick for Trees completed the scoring five minutes from time.

New Earswick recorded their first win of the season beating Haxby 2-1 with goals by John Harris and Gareth Akers. Mike Taylor's great chip over the goalkeeper got Haxby on the scoresheet.

Goals from Ian Gill and Phil Jones' third hat-trick of the season helped Rufforth extended their lead at the top of Reserve 'B' with a 4-1 victory over Stamford Bridge. Martin Smith (jnr) hit Stamford's lone reply.

Since losing their 19-match unbeaten away record, Hamilton Panthers are struggling to find a win. They failed for the third game on the trot as they could only draw 2-2 with Thorpe for whom debutant Billy Gundry and Shaun Bugg scored.

Tim Jackson and Gary Goodwin bagged the goals for Easingwold in their 2-0 win at White Horse CF.

Tockwith won by the same two-goal margin at Heslington, a Mark Procter header and a Simon Lewis volley doing the damage.
