SAFETY experts are organising a week of events to raise awareness of the risk of using ladders.
Last year, 13 workers died from falls while working on a ladder and more than 1,200 were seriously injured.
The Health and Safety Executive, in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Business Link, will be delivering a presentation on ladder safety at a free event on Thursday, November 24, at Driffield Business Centre.
Inspectors will work with ladder users and their employers, suggesting sensible measures to improve safety.
