IF someone on York's council did carry out a risk assessment on the fireworks display then it is proof of a potentially tragic failure on their part.
For residents such as Bryan Oxley are forced to possibly risk blindness, fire in their property, heart attack from fear or from blast and toxic debris ("York householder's fireworks display hell", November 10) is hardly consistent with living in peacetime.
And why is it the officials can never just admit "We poxed it up"?
