Today we announce plans for hundreds of parties on the streets of York to mark the new Millennium.
We are pleased to be involved in a scheme in which the whole community can and should be involved - having a great time and raising money for our St Leonard's Hospice appeal.
York turned out on to the streets en masse to celebrate the Queen's silver jubilee in 1977. We can celebrate the dawn of the next thousand years in the same way with a wonderful day to remember.
