STEPHEN Lewis describes a Casa Alberto Ristorante which is utterly different from the one I know (Weekender, July 21). I and many friends dine frequently at Casa Alberto and have always found it totally satisfactory.
I'm glad that having enjoyed their starters, Mr Lewis found his duck beautifully cooked. Perhaps Lily, who was persuaded to try the cheese sauce with her sole, should have done just that instead of "scraping it aside", while Mr Lewis who felt the cheese sauce clashed with the orange sauce could simply have left the cauliflower uneaten.
Incidentally the cod at our local chippie is magnificent.
