YORK City Supporters' Trust are nearly £25,000 better off today.
Fulham chairman Mohammed Al Fayed has stood by his pledge to hand over his club's share of the gate receipts from the recent FA Cup tie with City to the Trust.
He presented a cheque for £24,487 to Trust executive member Sophie McGill at his Harrods store in Knightsbridge, London yesterday afternoon.
He also signed two Fulham shirts and two footballs which he gave towards any future fund-raising efforts by the Trust and asked to be kept in touch with their progress.
Al Fayed blasted the FA for failing to step in to the Bootham Crescent crisis.
The Trust today revealed that talks to secure City's future are at "a key stage".
Trust representatives will hold further meetings over the next few days with both bidders, the board of sellers Bootham Crescent Holdings, City of York Council and potential investors.
