THE crumbling road in Wilton Rise is to have a one-off repair done (February 14). The city council should concentrate on the footpaths and roads they are responsible for, in my area they are in a shocking condition. I have some sympathy for the residents of Wilton Rise and agree it is in a dangerous state, but this road has been unadopted for more than 50 years.
The residents must have known this when they bought their houses and that they were responsible for its upkeep.
Council tax is to be increased by the city council and partly spent by them on something that is not their responsibility. Will they do my driveway in block paving next, please?
