SOMETIMES, repetition is a wonderful thing in a song. Take that brilliant idea, and return to it, re-emphasising its dramatic importance within the track and elevate the song from humdrum wannabe poetry to something gargantuan, something too big to take in all at once.

But if you go too far, and use that brilliant idea all too often, then you wind up here, with Oneida, who show up empty when they try to add anything else to that idea. Instead you have the likes of $50 Tea, which has a riff straight out of the Velvet Underground but never goes anywhere with it, or Changes In The City, 14 and a bit minutes of chasing after a smashing bass line with no idea of what to do once they catch up. Someone should tell these guys that finding the right hook is the beginning of a great song, and not the end of it.
