AN Andrew Pond hat-trick helped Kartiers see off the challenge of Copmanthorpe as they won 3-1 in Reserve 'A' with John Langley replying for Cop.

Father-and-son combination Alan and Darren Smith helped Dringhouses to three points against Dunnington as they also won 3-1. Stephen Cross had opened the scoring for 'Houses and then both Smiths scored before Paul Gordon pulled one back for Dunnington.

Pocklington suffered their first defeat of the season going down 4-2 at home to Old Malton, who were two goals up within four minutes of the start through Phil Hill and Paul Milner , and added a third through Darren Walker before the break. Rod Bradley scored both Pock's goals but another effort from Hill settled the issue.

Malton Bacon Factory broke their duck by winning 2-0 against New Earswick with goals from Nick Ives and Mark Hakings obliging.
