Crash victim seriously ill

A 28-YEAR-OLD woman is seriously ill in hospital following a road accident near Ripple on Wednesday.

The woman was a passenger in a red Mini travelling from Ripple towards Puckrup at about 7pm, when it left the road and hit a hedgerow on Bow Lane. The woman and the 17-year-old male driver were taken to Cheltenham Hospital. The road was closed for around three hours.

The driver was later discharged with whiplash injuries, while the woman's condition was described yesterday (Thursday) as serious.
