Double jobs boost for York as business plans approved

A NEW business headquarters andsupermarket look set to be built in York after city leaders backed the projects.

A council planning committee has this afternoon granted permission for laser firm MDL to open headquarters at Northminster Business Park at Poppleton.

It also backed an application by budget supermarket chain Lidl to open a store on the former Edmund Wilson Swimming Pool site in Thanet Road.

MDL's plan will bring about 40 new jobs to York initially, and could mean an additional 100 in six years. Lidl's plan will create about 25 jobs.

Agreed;new jobs for York are always "Fantastic"
It's a pity there will be a loss of Green Belt land though.

More to the point, How have you put text in a white block?
