RESIDENTS in a York village were left without power this morning for several hours, due to problems with the electricity supply.
A wide area fault at CE Electric meant that electricity supplies to 1,051 customers in the Poppleton area were interrupted at 9.50am.
A spokesperson for CE Electric said the fault was reduced to a low voltage issue affecting 292 customers by 12.30pm, but full service would not be restored until at least 1pm.
She said: “We apologise for the inconvenience caused to our customers, and are working to resolve the problem.”
