PUPILS from five York schools have spent a day tackling giant puzzles, solving brainteasers and removing a ring from a set of handcuffs.
These were just some of the challenges children faced as part of The Mount School Puzzle Day.
Pupils from The Mount, Tregelles, The Mount Junior School, Minster School and St Paul’s CofE Primary School spent the day problem-solving in an array of team-building activities.
Helen Mumby, head of maths at The Mount School, said the puzzle day had brought a light-hearted touch to a number of maths activities.
