York residents invited to have say on playground plans

A FURTHER 11 playgrounds will be created by City of York Council this year, and residents are being invited to say where they would like them built.

The Playbuilder project is moving into its second year and is setting up a new round of consultations with local people.

The council said people of any age would be welcome to have their say at three forthcoming consultation events, the first of which takes place on Monday at the Badger Hill play area.

The other two consultations take place at Garnet Terrace in Holgate on Tuesday and Monk Stray in Heworth Without on Tuesday, March 23.

Each event is from 2pm to 6.30pm, with refreshments available.

Away from housing, they attract drug, and alcohol abusers, vandals, gangs... and paedophiles so better not to build them at all. Children are safer playing at home where parents should, and can keep an eye on them.
