Motorbike and car crash in Bootham, York

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a collision with a car in the Clifton area of York, at about 7.30am.
Police closed The Avenue following the accident, which involved a black Kawasaki motorcycle and silver Vauxhall Corsa.
The motorcyclist, believed to be in his mid-40s, was taken to York Hospital with a suspected broken leg.
