Car lands on roof after crash near Flamingoland theme park, Pickering

A ROAD has been blocked after a three-vehicle crash in Ryedale left a car on its roof.

The accident happened at about 8.50am today on the A169 Malton Road near the entrance to the Flamingoland theme park, at the junction of Bean Sheaf Lane and Kirby Misperton Road.

It involved a green Ford Focus, a silver Vauxhall Zafira and a DAF truck. The driver of the car which flipped over was treated at the scene by ambulance crews but suffered only slight injuries.

The collision led to drivers travelling between Pickering and Malton struck in traffic or searching for alternative routes. Anybody who saw the crash should phone North Yorkshire Police on 0845 6060 247.
