A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy has suffered a broken leg after an accident near a York school.
The youngster was riding his bike near Poppleton Road Primary School at around 4.25pm yesterday when he was involved in a collision with a passing car and fell to the ground.
Paramedics were called to the scene in an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle and took the boy to York Hospital for treatment, but he did not suffer any other injuries.
North Yorkshire Police said the collision, which happened on the traffic lanes on Poppleton Road, was being treated as an accident and they were not seeking witnesses.
