TIGER’s roar was subdued as Cueball ‘B’ captain Tracey Farmeary led her team to a resounding 7-2 victory in the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League division one.

Farmeary fired three ton-plus scores to spearhead the success.

Cygnet won by the same margin against Slip ‘A’. Becky Thompson (2 x 140) and Helen Lomas were Slip’s only point-scorers.

Cygnet captain Michelle Britton led from the front with two ton-plus scores.

Jane Dobson won the opener for Flag ‘A’ in their 7-4 win over Slipper, who levelled through Sue Tate.

Chris Hedley edged Flag back in front. Anita Adams then started a Slipper revival, with Vicky Middleton and Elaine Metcalfe adding to the total. However, Flag’s Sharon Neads and Jean West secured victory.

Division two leaders Flag ‘B’ recovered from a 4-2 deficit to beat Woolpack 7-4. Captain Maureen Ferguson and Jackie Clemit narrowed the gap. Julie Hagyard and Dot Trousdale then levelled before Jane Barnes (140) and Jackie Calpin snatched victory.

Second-placed Beeswing were taken to the wire by visitors Cueball ‘A’, who edged into a 4-3 advantage through Emily Fairclough and Audrey Carling.

Wing’s Julie and Nikki Judson levelled and then captain Chris Hayward partnered Janice Potts to snatch victory.

Tap turned on the style running out 7-2 winners, despite a 23-dart leg from Tramways ‘A’s Debbie Forster.

Tramway’s ‘B’ lost by the same margin against Burton WMC.

Shepherd ‘A’ came good in the pairs after their ‘B’ team held a 4-2 advantage.

Seahorse ‘A’ beat close rivals Severus with a final game win by Michelle Kelly and Sarah Thompson after the club side’s captain Glynnis Simpson and Carol Robson had set up a decider.

St Paul’s lead division three after a solid 7-2 victory over visitors Jubilee.

Second-placed Leeman ‘A’ were eclipsed as Sun’s final pairing and Dorothy Barker and Christine Turgoose snatched victory.

Seahorse ‘B’s Alison Walker starred in their win against Red Lion.

Leeman ‘B’ added to their 4-3 advantage by winning all the pairs to chop down Walnut Tree 7-2.

Beagle’s Amanda Kirby closed a two-dart 66 as they won by the same margin against Acomb ‘B’.
