THE bad weather forced the postponement of the official launch of York’s second Jane Tomlinson charity run. Former Olympic athlete Steve Cram and BBC Look North presenter Harry Gration had been due to join Jane’s widower, Mike Tomlinson, to launch the run at the Mansion House in York.
However, the bad weather forced the team to put back the ceremony to later this month.
Up to 8,000 runners will take part in the 10K run, to be held on August 1, which will be held in memory of one of the world’s most famous sporting fundraisers.
Despite the snowy setback, people are now able to sign up for the event.
