A FILM about the sport of boccia made by a York teenager has won a top prize in a BBC competition.
The Your Game competition offered young people the chance to produce a film about what sport meant to them and their community.
Adam Stafford, aged 17, a volunteer at KhaoZ Media, worked with other volunteers at KhaoZ Media, a York-based community media group, to produce his film based on the difficulties faced by young people with disabilities.
Adam’s film was chosen as the winner after he was given £500 funding to produce the film. It will now be shown on a community version of Match Of The Day. Adam’s inspiration came from being a member of the Special Olympics team, for which he plays boccia, a type of bowls, and curling.
