Pupils at Poppleton Ousebank Primary School
THESE youngsters at a York school have been working hard to become “sustainable”.
A sustainable school is one that educates pupils about how people’s actions can affect the future. Children at Poppleton Ousebank Primary School have been learning about different things that they can do to be caring.
Pupils in Year 5 have been learning the importance of water and how people can save it by being less wasteful.
Youngsters in Year 4 have looked at the work of different charities and have even made soup for the Salvation Army to give out at the city’s soup kitchens.
Other pupils have made bird-feeders, studied fair trading and thought about keeping safe and travelling.
