Brayton Scout group leader John Hodge retires after 21 years

A surprise party was organised by the Brayton Scout group to mark the retirement of John Hodge as Group Scout Leader after 21 years. During the evening, which was attended by members and friends, a “This is Your Life” style presentation was given about John, compiled by Brian Hirst.

The presentation featured humorous and interesting reminiscences of John’s life in Scouting.

John, who will continue as the group’s headquarters secretary, will be succeeded by as Group Scout Leader by Kate Macmanaman.
