AN INQUEST into the death of an East Yorkshire man who was killed in an accident while on holiday in Morocco is expected to be opened and adjourned next week. A Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokesperson said Neil Swanborough, of Allerthorpe, near Pocklington, died on November 5 in Agadir, a city on the African country’s south-western coast which is a popular tourist destination.
The spokesperson said: “The next of kin have been informed and we are providing consular assistance to them.” There was no confirmation of how Mr Swanborough died.
Mr Swanborough leaves a wife Lynda, and children Christy and Conor. He worked as a landscape gardener and ran Glade Landscapes. The Press contacted Mr Swanborough’s family, but they did not wish to comment.
