DOZENS of vintage motorcycle enthusiasts gathered at the Yorkshire Air Museum, near York, for their Golden Era Run, a non-competitive social rally organised by the Yorkshire Vintage Motorcycle Club.
The oldest machines dated back more than a century, including a 1904 Dreadnought, a national treasure owned by the club.
The bike was ridden by Nichola Edmond, who is in her mid twenties and from Driffield, accompanied by her sister Marie on a 1927 Model N Triumph and father Chris on a 1914 Type C Triumph.
Also taking part was a wicker-bodied sidecar combination, along with the only York motorcycle in the UK, ridden by Ken Mellor, a 1911 Torpedo and a Douglas.
The bikes left the museum for a run through the mainly flat countryside before returning to the museum to go on display to the public.
