Ice Cubed Consulting is thriving in the financial heat. The sales and marketing consultancy started by Tom Frank at Victoria House, Flaxton, York, in 2007, is booming in the recession as companies are forced to look at more ways of creating sales outside the traditional sales teams.
They have also been forced to look at effective client retention.
The latest spate in clients prove the point – and have produced figures which allow Tom to lay claim to the titles of both Small Business Of The Year and Growth Business Of The Year in The Press Business Awards 2009. For instance, in its first year Ice Cubed generated a £11,040 turnover with a loss of just £208.
Last year, turnover hit £68,701, producing a profit of £22,664. And in just the first four months of this year turnover soared to £770,330 with profits projected to be £177,000 by the year end.
Other than developers, many sectors are using his expertise, including Pilgrim PR of York, House of Townend wine merchants, Real Mortgage Finance, the mortgage brokers, Grosvenor Financial Consultants and Happy Leaves, web designers.
Now Tom has plans to launch Ice Cubed Wealth next month, followed by Ice Cubed Women and Ice Cubed Hotels in 2010. He also hopes to develop a Private Client brand, including a luxury quarterly magazine and a credit card.
If he succeeds it will be a case of promoting his own marketing strap line – Welcome to the New Ice Age.
