Bus passenger wanted in hunt for missing York chef Claudia Lawrence eliminated from inquiry

A MYSTERY bus passenger sought by police investigating the suspected murder of missing York chef Claudia Lawrence has come forward.

Police released CCTV images earlier today of the man boarding a Coastliner bus at 5.39am on Thursday, March 19, in East Parade, York, near Claudia’s home in Heworth Road.

This is the morning Claudia, 35, failed to turn up for her 6am shift at the University of York’s Roger Kirk Centre, where she works as a chef.

Officers have now spoken to the man and he has been eliminated from the inquiry.
