YORK’S newest beauty queen has been given special yoga lessons as she prepares to take part in the international Miss Earth final.
Yoga teacher Anna Semlyen agreed to give some private lessons to Caroline Duffy, 21, from Burnholme, who will represent her country at the planet-friendly pageant in the Philippines next month.
Anna said Caroline, a teaching assistant, needs to display a special talent at the event and decided to do a yoga routine. She asked Anna if she could help out.
“She already practises yoga. I think she will do very well,” said Anna, of Grange Street, off Fishergate.
