This picture taken by The Press reader Robert Wainwright shows a road near the village of Hovingham, after a lorry shed some of its load of vegetable waste.

Apples, oranges, carrots and cabbage were among the items left on the road as the vehicle continued in the direction of Malton.

The driver seemed to be unaware of what was happening, and was eventually stopped near Amotherby.

The police and North Yorkshire County Council were involved in the clearing up process.

Vegetable waste? Sounds like Waller and crew were out on a day trip.

..and prosecuted for driving without due care and attention as he evidently doesn't use his mirrors. I trust he's getting the call out and clean up bill too as why should the tax payer foot it?
