NEVER mind the other speakers like John Howard, the former Australian PM, it was the huge George Foreman, who had the Yorkshire International Business Convention roaring for more.

The 1,300 delegates who converged on the 13th annual convention at Harrogate's Yorkshire Show Ground were knocked out by his account of his wayward boyhood after which he twice became world heavyweight champion and later a business tycoon.

Coming a close second was fashion supermodel and business icon Elle MacPherson who tracked her success from shy young model to heading a multi-million dollar women's lingerie empire.

The convention split between two centres at Harrogate and Hull, and while the plan was to ferry some speakers between the two, fog at Hull meant they were chauffeured by car instead.

One of the more unusual guests was one Hillary Clinton, no not the ex-president's wife but a camel.

Jet2.com pulled a cheeky stunt at the convention by launching their newest sunshine destination from Leeds Bradford to the Egyptian resort of Sharm el Sheikh direct from Leeds Bradford International Airport from February 2009.
