Final cup draw

STOCKTON & Hopgrove II will entertain Ovington II in the first round of York Vale Cricket League's Premier Sports Cup after routing Tadcaster.

Teenage bowler Chris Simpson led the way with 4-23 as Magnets were skittled for 58 as Stockton eased to a quick nine-wicket win.

In the preliminary round of the Scothern Construction Cup, Hemingbrough II skipper John Waterhouse plundered a century off nine-man Burton Salmon. He made 103 and Richard Firth 94 in a third-wicket partnership of 196 as Hemingbrough amassed 273-4. Salmon closed on 75-8 with Michael Smales taking 4-15 and Dan Collins 3-19.

James Ferguson's 95 and a quickfire 76 by Richard Tomlinson saw North Cave pile up 248 against Sheriff Hutton. Cave also dominated with the ball as John Buttle (3-22) and Tom Baxter (3-37) took their side to a 157-run win.

Cave travel to Hirst Courtney in the first round next weekend, while Hemingbrough host Kelfield.
