A YORK shop has backed our Guardian Angels Appeal by donating a share of its festive profits.
Staff at The Zentist, in Gillygate, York, handed over £125 - which was 50 per cent of the takings from their Magical Christmas Fayre.
The money will help to fund life-saving high-dependency facilities in the children's ward at York Hospital.
Shop assistant Irene Forsyth said: "We'd like to thank everybody who supported our fair. We're delighted to be able to give a little something to help you reach your target. Guardian Angels is such a great appeal to support - anybody with children might need to use the facilities that it is raising money for."
Meanwhile, York's Grand Opera House also gave our appeal a boost, by holding a collection before a matinee and evening performance of the pantomime Cinderella last month.
Generous theatre-goers raised £137.50.
