Car badly damaged by fire in York
A CAR was badly damaged by fire in York.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said it received multiple calls about a car fire just off the A64, into Askham Bar, at about 6.35pm on Thursday.
A fire crew attended and put out the flames using two hose reels.
Both the driver and passenger were out of the car when crews arrived.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "Vehicle heavily fire damaged."
