Van fire put out on A59
EMERGENCY services were called to a burning van on a road outside York.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the A59 at Kirk Hammerton at about 1.30pm on Thursday.
A spokesman said a crew from Acomb put out the Mercedes Sprinter van, which suffered severe fire damage and the fire was believed to have been caused by an electrical fault behind the dashboard.
