YORK party band Huge play their last open-air show of the year at Escrick and Deighton Club, Escrick, near York, on Saturday at the Huge Family Bash.

BBC football commentator and huge Huge fan Guy Mowbray has recorded a promo video for the event, filmed at this summer's World Cup Final, no less. Watch it at youtu.be/gzGnY82IQ4Q. "What a great supporter of what we do Guy is," says Huge frontman Big Ian Donaghy.

Fresh from organising the Forever Young Festival at Grimston Court care home on September 1, Donaghy will be leading his good-time group through brass-heavy covers of The Killers, Justin Timberlake and soul classics as the family audience dances into the late-evening.

"It's an ideal event for families as it's totally safe, brings quality live music out to the village and finishes in plenty of time for Match Of The Day without needing a babysitter," says Big Ian. "We'll also have special guest support acts and organiser Neil Reader will be guesting with us on saxophone."

Gates open at 2pm; local live acts perform from 3.15 pm; Huge take to the stage at 6pm and the music finishes by 9pm, with a bar "until late" Tickets cost £15 or £25 for a pair, under-16s £3/£5 pair, from Neil Reader on 07887 768880 or 07342-081321 or at neil_reader@hotmail.com.
