CANADIAN folk troubadour Irish Mythen has been forced by illness to call off tomorrow's performance at Pocklington Arts Centre.

Venue manager James Duffy says: "I spoke with her manager late on Tuesday and he informed me Irish is unable to travel and is extremely disappointed to cancel but had no other choice, given her current condition. We'll will be rescheduling the show and once a new date is confirmed we'll let everyone know."

Irish-born Mythen has played at major festivals the world over. In the past 12 months, for example, she has closed out the Philadelphia Folk Festival, performing after Lyle Lovett, and had thousands in her hands at Australia’s Woodford Folk Festival.
