TWO people in their eighties have been taken to hospital after a crash on the A64 this morning involving two cars and a coach.
Firefighters from Tadcaster, Huntington and Malton cut the couple out of a Honda Jazz which had collided with a Kia sportage and a coach.
They were taken to York Hospital suffering from neck and chest pain by Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Claxton just north of York at about 10.35am.
The drivers of the coach and the Kia Sportage were checked by paramedics at the scene..
The accident caused heavy traffic as the road was partially blocked in both directions
