A CYCLING event will be held at the University of York this week.

As part of the Sustainable September initiative, the Get Cycling Roadshow event will include stalls from the Bike Doctor, bike demonstrations and bike powered smoothies.

The Get Cycling Roadshow will be held on Thursday, September 13, between 10am and 2pm outside the Berrick Saul building, and is part of an initiative to promote sustainable travel.

The Bike Doctor stall will check riders’ bikes with a ‘health check’, while electric and disability bikes will also be on display.

Visitors will also be able to find out more about what is happening in York from the i-Travel engagement team, as well as the Love To Ride scheme.

Love To Ride is a month-long event which sees employees of the university compete against other departments with their friends and colleagues to promote cycling and win prizes.
