A YORKSHIRE gin company is celebrating the sale of its 15,000th bottle, only six months after selling its first.
The York Gin company launched on March 1, hoping to sell 10,000 bottles in its first year. However, it has now smashed that target and revised it to 50,000.
The brand is selling in 200 shops, bars and restaurants across York, as well as two top London gin bars, the Oliver Conquest and London Gin Club.
It started out with a classic dry gin and launched a special Viking botanicals set in the summer and two new flavours last month - Roman fruit, which has been praised on Twitter by Roman expert Professor Mary Beard, and cocoa.
Director Emma Godivala said: "It's been an amazing six months since we launched on a snowy day at the start of March.
"And things are only going to get busier as we gear up for our first Christmas."
