REPRESENTATIVES from businesses in North Yorkshire have the chance to question one of the county’s MPs.

Andrew Jones has been Harrogate and Knaresborough’s MP since 2010. The Conservative politician has held ministerial posts in the Department for Transport and the Treasury, and is currently one of the Party’s vice-chairs, with responsibility for business engagement.

Now the MP is to speak to a business audience at a Chamber of Commerce lunch in Harrogate. The event will take place on September 14, at the Cedar Court Hotel in the town, and representatives from businesses are being urged to come along.

Mike Cartwright, of West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “If you live or work in an area with connections to Andrew’s parliamentary seat, you should think about coming along to this event.

“Whether your business issues are related to Brexit, transport, skills and education or myriad other topics affecting your company, Andrew will be answering questions on the day.

“This is a great opportunity to find out how familiar he is with local business issues and to put him in the spotlight. Come along and put your burning question to him – as well as enjoying a fine lunch and networking session with other businesses.”

Andrew will talk about his day-to-day work in Parliament and what he sees as the major business issues of the day affecting firms in his constituency. He wants to hear direct from companies based in the area.
