THE last chance to see Moonbeam’s Magical Mission, the magical Tiny Times Tales show for pre-school children at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough, comes on Saturday morning at 10.30am.

The elf Moonbeam Quicktrick has the most important job of all in Trollside: Royal Chef to Her Most Thoroughly Royal and Properly Proper Majesty, Queen Treebottom. Unfortunately, the queen thinks Moonbeam needs to improve his cooking skills and sends him on a quest to the magical kingdoms of Fire, Earth, Air and Water at the four corners of the world, in order to gather the finest foods and learn from the finest chefs in time to prepare the most important banquet of all.

Written by Guy Bass, who wrote last summer’s The Tales Of Tipsy Willow Tree too, the show is directed by Cheryl Govan and designed by Julia Wray.

Alfie Woodhead plays Moonbeam after appearing as George in George's Marvellous Medicine and as Spineless Vertebrae in The Tales Of Tipsy Willow Tree, joined by community actor Sarah Pearce. Tickets cost £3 on 01723 370541or at sjt.uk.com.
