THE York Unitarians' Last Fridays concert for August marks a return visit by pianist Catriona Mackenzie and violinist Imogen Brewer, two gifted young musicians who met at St Mary’s School in Scotland.
Catriona, from the Highlands, has won a number of prizes as she pursues her studies in London as a soloist and chamber musician and will play music by Liszt and accompany Imogen for Mozart’s Sonata K454 in their August 31 programme.
Imogen, who was born in York, is studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where has joined the Mousai Quartet. She will perform a Bach solo partita as well as the Mozart piece.
Tickets for this 12.30pm concert at the St Saviourgate Unitarian Chapel, York, cost £6, concessions £4, on the door.
