A 49-YEAR-old man will go on trial after pleading not guilty to the murder of a 51-year-old mother.
Adrian Michael Rodi is alleged to have killed Angela Rider in a house on Chestnut Road in Cawood on March 4 this year.
Her body was discovered in the early hours of March 5.
Leeds Crown Court heard this morning that the prosecution would be pursuing a murder charge - to which Rodi pleaded not guilty.
The court heard a psychologist was preparing a report in regards to Rodi’s mental health.
Judge Marson QC said: “You will be remanded in custody until your trial date.
“I am happy to schedule the trial for four days if psychiatric reports can be ready before the trial date of September 24”
Rodi was remanded in custody until the trial which is expected to begin on September 24.
