A MAN charged with a public order offence appeared at York Magistrates Court this morning (August 20).
It follows an incident in Winterscale Court, off Cemetery Road, which police, including armed officers, were called to at about 11.40pm on Friday.
A 46-year-old man was charged with a public order offence, but pleaded not guilty to the charge at York Magistrates Court.
He has been remanded on conditional bail until December 7, when he will appear at the same court for trial.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called to a report of an incident in Winterscale Court, York, at about 11.40pm on Friday, August 17.
"A 46-year-old man was arrested, and subsequently charged with a public order offence."
