MACMILLAN Cancer Support wants people in York to create a huge stir by taking part in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning on September 28.
Last year, the record-breaking event raised £6.7 million and organisers are hoping to beat that this year.
Macmillan's community fundraiser for the Vale of York and the Yorkshire Dales, Roohi Lupton, said: "Anyone can take part. We want as many people as possible in York to put the kettle on and enjoy a coffee for Macmillan Cancer Support.
"You can hold a coffee morning at your school, at work, in your church hall or simply at home with your friends.
"What's important to remember is that every cup counts. Every year 270,000 people are diagnosed with cancer. We want to support every one of these people, but we can only do it with your help."
