AN INVESTIGATION into allegations of false imprisonment and blackmail in York has been closed.
Four people were arrested in June 2017 after North Yorkshire Police executed a warrant at the Premier Stop Gap shop in Gale Lane, Acomb, and another nearby residential property.
Crime scene investigators spent a day at the scene, and police said at the time the warrant was "in connection with an ongoing investigation into false imprisonment and blackmail".
Police said two men and two women were arrested "on suspicion of various offences", in connection with the investigation and released on bail.
This week, a spokeswoman for the force said the investigation had now been closed.
She said: "The investigation has since been reviewed and no further action has been brought against all of the suspects.
"The crime has now been finalised."
