The brewery: All Hallows.

Where is it?: Behind the Goodmanham Arms, just north of Market Weighton in East Yorkshire.

The story: You’d struggle to find a single pub anywhere in Yorkshire with more charm, warmth and allure than The Goodmanham Arms. It sits on a corner in its namesake village, opposite the 12th-century All Hallows Church, and boasts wonderful food, superb beer, open fires and friendly welcomes, and a quirky little motorbike museum in one of the siderooms. Behind the pub, licensees Abbie and Vito Logozzi run All Hallows Brewery. That initially served only their own bar, but beers also now make it to a few other nearby pubs, including The Bay Horse in Burythorpe.

The beers: There’s no fixed routine, but frequent favourites include Peg Fyfe, a dark mild; Mischief Maker, a copper bitter; and Ragged Robyn, a dark ale.

Can I visit?: You’d be daft not to. There’s parking at the pub if you can find a driver, or it’s a 20 to 30 minute walk from the bus stop in Market Weighton.
