EMMERDALE's Mark Charnock, aka chef Marlon Dingle, is to try out his real-life culinary skills at a Thirsk care home this weekend.
Mark is heading to Hambleton Grange, on Station Road, Thirsk, for the care home's summer fair on Saturday afternoon.
As well as meeting residents, Mark will open the home's new art room and test his kitchen skills with Hambleton Grange's chef.
Mark, who has played Woolpack cook, Marlon Dingle, on Emmerdale for more than 20 years, said: "I am really looking forward to visiting Hambleton Grange on Saturday. I have picked up a few tips from Marlon in the kitchen so I am sure the cooking competition will be a piece of cake!"
The fun starts at 1.30pm. See www.idealcarehomes.co.uk/our-homes/hambleton-grange.
